More about Dr. Annette Deichmann

As a biologist, she had the opportunity to get to know research in many different fields, for example at the Institute of Microbiology at the University of Würzburg and the Institute of Human Genetics at the University of Leuven in Belgium.

Since 2001 she has been working in scientific project management, first at the Institute of Molecular Medicine at the University of Freiburg and then in both the Department of Translational Oncology of the German Cancer Research Center (DKFZ) and the National Center for Tumor Diseases (NCT) in Heidelberg.

There in 2008 she received her doctorate and is the author and co-author of numerous scientific publications in high-ranking journals. As coordinator of the research department, she gained in-depth experience in applying for funding, preparing reports, and in the areas of human resources management and controlling of finances. In 2016, she graduated as a Certified Management Expert (CME) from Steinbeis-Hochschule Berlin.

This complements the scientific knowledge in her current management role.
