Cynthia Bartholomä, PhD is working as leading scientist at GeneWerk since 2015 by heading the laboratory and project management team.
She is working in the field of gene and cell therapy since 15 years and obtained doctoral degree at the German Cancer Research Center in the research group of Dr. Manfred Schmidt and Prof. Christof von Kalle where she joined in 2005 in Freiburg as PhD Student.
After graduation, she was overseeing and coordinating several world-wide vector biosafety analysis in preclinical and multiple clinical gene therapy trials and customer projects as Postdoctoral fellow at German Cancer Research Center and National Center for Tumor diseases Heidelberg.
She was honored with the “Young investigator award (European Society for Gene and Cell Therapy) and “Excellence in Research Award” (American Society of Gene and Cell Therapy).
Cynthia Bartholomä is the author of 40 peer-reviewed publications in the field of gene therapy, next generation sequencing and cancer research. In 2004 she graduated with diploma of biology at the Albert-Ludwigs-University of Freiburg.
